Custom Wooden Chips Producing Process:

1. When customer send us his design of custom wooden tokens, we will first confirm detail requirements with customer, like size, quantity, packing way and others, so that we can arrange to prepare raw material in advance.

2. Make free samples for customer size and quality checking. Artwork file format can be .cdr .stl. step, stp, any other 3D formats.

Wooden material selection: There are three different kinds of wooden material for selection, each with it’s characteristics.

A. Multilayer boards, also called MDF.

The MDF is environmentally friendly and in low cost. But it’s not as durable as the other two types of woods. Surface of MDF made products may peel off after using a long time.

B. Miscellaneous wood.

It’s a kind of wood that combined with different solid woods. The miscellaneous wood is harder than MDF.

C. Pure solid wood.

Such as maple, beech, etc. They are strong to avoid from deformation with high hardness.

And products made of pure solid wood is with smooth surface without any burr to hurt hands when touching.

3. When raw material comes to our warehouse, our professional QC will inspect the woods carefully, such as moisture content of the materials. If moisture content is more than 14%, the woods must be dried at our specific drying room. If the moisture content is below 14%, woods can used for mass production without drying. This is because the high water content of the woods will cause deform and crack of products during usage.

4. Cut the material. First cut the wood to the required thickness, we can control the cutting error within 0.5mm. Later to cut out custom shape by laser.

5. After the wooden tokens are cut, put them into polishing barrel to remove burrs on surface, so that the meeples are smooth which will not hurt hands when touching.
